Paediatric Care
Many of the GPs at Beaumaris Medical Centre enjoy seeing our youngest patients, and a number of the doctors have undertaken extra training by completing a Diploma of Child Health. They consider it a privilege to watch your infants grow up into toddlers, tweens, teens, adolescents and young adults, and are here to provide you with the best medical care across this complex time of life. Establishing rapport with a regular doctor can be very valuable as young people learn to navigate their own health and wellbeing as they grow.
Newborn babies, breastfeeding concerns and problems new parents face
The GPs are experienced in caring for children of all ages from newborns and toddlers to adolescents and beyond. They provide support to new parents with any issues you may have from breastfeeding, introducing solids, sleep issues and more. They routinely perform six week check ups for new babies and post partum mums. It is a privilege to be part of the journey from pregnancy and seeing their youngest patients grow up.
Jenny Davidson, Accredited Dietitian & Nutritionist with over 30 years experience, can assist with elimination diets for young patients and breastfeeding mothers.
Bulk-billed kids vaccinations
Childhood immunisations are bulk-billed by the doctors. This can always be a stressful time for parents and young ones, but our experienced nurses will make you and your child feel as comfortable as possible.

We have additional vaccinations in stock that can be purchased privately, including ACWY meningococcal vaccine, Bexsero (meningococcal B) vaccine, varicella (chicken pox vaccines), travel vaccines for children and more.
